Ambitious Hair Loss BioTech Raises Cash

Unknown Reply 14:04

Australian hair loss biotech firm, Cellmid, have surprised the markets with an ambitious cash raise. We look closer.

Cellmid

We have been following the fortunes of this small Australian biotech firm for a few years now… they have been in existence since 2004. They call themselves a life sciences accelerator, one of these new fangled businesses hoping to disrupt current medical treatments by bringing 21st century to bear. Like several other biotechs Cellmid chose to target hair loss, given the ubiquitous nature of the problem, along with the paucity of serious options already on the market, it seems a sensible strategy.

Evolis

Cellmid’s offering for hair loss is a “scientifically proven” tonic, applied to the scalp a couple of times a day. It was, they tell us, 12 years in development and in independent clinical trials “74% of the study participants have had increased hair growth and reduced hair loss.”

Looking at the clinical trial results on their site would suggest that, while their claims are absolutely verifiable, the improvement might be disappointing to anyone hoping for anything like a return to their hairy former self.

A Success Story

In late 2016 Cellmid got a foothold in the American market. They rapidly moved on to establish distribution elsewhere too and are today in possession of permission to launch in China.

Encouraged by the traction they have already achieved has seen Cellmid launch a share sale aimed at raising $9M, with an additional $1M being offered to existing shareholders. It remains to be seen how much appetite the markets have for the shares but they have shown an encouraging positive blip in the current value since the announcement The cash, they say, is to be used to drive marketing, primarily into the American market.

HIS Hair Clinic

As pleased as we are to see a new hair loss product enter the market, hopefully it can be shown to match or better the performance of the existing FDA approved treatments which both come with drawbacks, especially if you are a woman. Cellmid have other drugs in development, for cancer and kidney disease, that make us cheer them on in their efforts. We do hope that continuing to develop the existing Evolis product remains a priority.

Leading University Offers Hair Loss Hope

Unknown Reply 03:39

Researchers at John Hopkins University have published results that tease the hope of a hair loss cure. We look closer.

Mice In The Cross Hairs

A team at the renowned John Hopkins University, consistently ranked among the world’s top 20, were looking into the effect of a Western diet on the hair and skin. Mice are invariably the test animal of choice for any hair loss research and these ones were fed a Western diet high in cholesterol and fat.. no ordinary mice though, these mice were genetically modified to develop atherosclerosis… which sees fat deposits form in the arteries.

The mice were split into two groups and from the age of 12 to 20 weeks one group was being fed something the team called “untreated rat chow” (we can only imagine what that might look like) and the other the high fat, high cholesterol diet aimed at copyng the eating habits of your typical westerner.

What Happened Next

As was expected the mice on the Western diet developed skin lesions and their hair turned white and began to fall out. The longer they were on the diet the worse the symptoms became and by week 36 three quarters of the mice in that group had developed skin lesions. They discovered that if they switched the diet, from western to rat chow, at 20 weeks the mice would make a full recovery to their original state.

Conclusions

Co-author of the study, and professor of pediatrics at John Hopkins, Dr Subroto Chatterjee, made a statement in which he said “Our findings show that a Western diet causes hair loss, hair whitening and skin inflammation in mice, and we believe a similar process occurs in men lose hair and experience hair whitening when they eat a diet high in fat and cholesterol.”

He went on “Further research is needed, but our findings show promise for someday using the drug we develop for skin diseases such as psoriasis and wounds resulting from diabetes or plastic surgery.”

HIS Hair Clinic

So there you have it. One of the world’s leading universities is hard at work developing an oral drug that might go some way to addressing hair loss caused by diet… We are not sure what proportion of hair loss sufferers that will work for but this is clearly important research, going way beyond a fix for diet related hair loss.

Rest assured, we will be watching, and reporting on, their progress. In the meantime, untreated rat chow anyone?

Millie Bobby Brown’s Hair Loss Experience

Unknown Reply 13:16

The talented teenage actress Millie Bobby Brown has been talking to W magazine about her time as a bald 11 year old and the lessons it taught her.

Millie Bobby Brown

At the ripe old age of 14 Millie Bobby Brown is the proud possessor of not one but two Primetime Emmy Awards nominations, we are not sure if they are even her proudest achievement to date… she also earned a place on the 2018 TIME magazine top 100 list, the youngest person ever to feature there and a testament to the fact that this teenager has a lot about her.

Going Bald

When she was just eleven years old she was required to shave her head for her coveted and breakthrough role in the Netflix hit show “Stranger Things”. “The shaved head was a big deal…” Millie told W Magazine. “On the one hand it was cool. When you’re bald, rain feels like a head massage. I’d walk in the rain, and people would look at me like I was crazy, I’d be smiling – so so happy to have the water hit my naked head.”

Even at the age of 11 this remarkable young lady was sharp enough to recognise that the reactions of people around her were far from uniform, particularly when it came to people she did not know. She went on “…on the other hand, people stared at me, wondering whether I was sick.” She recalls being saddened by the “hurtful” behaviour of some who she said would “laugh at me without knowing whether I was or wasn’t sick.”

Lesson In Compassion

Fortunately Millie looks back on the experience as a positive one that has made her a more compassionate person. “It was hurtful, but their attitude taught me something about compassion. In the end, being bald was the best thing I ever did – being different changed my life. I wanted to embrace my baldness and, hopefully, inspire other people.”

HIS Hair Clinic

Millie’s experience is one that will be all too familiar to those who have gone through hair loss, particularly those who went through the experience at a young age. Strangers laughing at you, and worse, is a feature. For this young girl of just 11 years to process the reaction she was seeing around her and to recognise it as a shortcoming in the other person… well that just impresses the hell out of us. Of course, it is slightly different when you have the fallback position of just letting your hair grow back.

The Case For Castor Oil As A Hair Loss Cure

Unknown Reply 07:16

There was a time when a dose of Castor oil was best  known as a punishment for naughty chldren. But what of it’s reputation as a hair loss cure? We look closer.

The Case For Castor Oil

Castor oil is a wonderfully complex vegetable oil, which is produced by pressing the seeds of the castor oil plant… the name is thought to come from it’s use as a replacement for castoreum, a perfume base made from the perineal glands of the beaver (castor is the Latin word for a beaver). So it is a fair bet that the beavers, if nobody else, are big fans of castor oil.

But castor oil is not short of fans. IT is used in soaps, lubricants, hydraulic and brake fluids, dyes, coatings, paints, inks, cold resistant plastics, waxes, polishes, nylon, perfumes… and of course in pharmaceuticals. There is a long list of modern drugs that all use castor oil as an ingredient, for a surprisingly wide array of treatments.

For Hair Loss

Of course our particular area of interest is in it’s use as a hair loss cure. For which it has an enviable reputation. That reputation is built on an ability to accelerate blood circulation, through the presence of high concentrations of ricinoleic acid, and so provide the hair follicles with additional nourishment. It is also an anti-fungal and so able to help with conditions like dandruff and other conditions of the scalp.

Evidence that it can help with hair loss is at best anecdotal, and suggestions that it can provoke dead follicles into life again are fantastical.

For anyone interested in giving it a go the recommended usage is just once or twice a week. Apply it in the evening as an overnight treatment and wash it off in the morning. It is potent stuff and any effect will not be improved by applying it more often. It will certainly do you no harm and will improve your general scalp health.

HIS Hair Clinic

We are not fans of castor oil for hair loss. While it might just help in slowing down the progress, by increasing circulation to the remaining follicles and by keeping the scalp in good condition, you should not start using it with any aspiration that it is going to see lost hair return… that is simply not going to happen. As a treatment it is very low cost and can be used alongside FDA approved products… so please feel free to give it a go.

Important Progress For Hair Loss Research

Unknown Reply 05:13

One of the biggest obstacles to progress towards finding a cure for hair loss might have been removed by a team from India. We look closer.

Testing Times

The process for any new drug to get to market is a long, exhaustive and expensive one. By the time they get to the stage of being tested on animals there is already a significant investment sunk into the trial. Many variations of the drug, in regards to dosage (amount and frequency) al need to studied. For hair loss drugs this usually leads to pictures of hairy mice when the trial is successful. And many are. The problem comes when they try to replicate those results in human testing… and before they get permission for that they have to evidence that not only were those mice able to benefit from the drug to a greater extent than any equivalent drug already on the market, but they were also required to show no adverse effects. Only then will the manufacturer be given permission to move to clinical trials involving humans.

The range of differences, around immunology and physiology between us and mice, or any of the animals that are used, make that a leap.

The Indian Institute of Technology in Delhi looked at the problem and decided that what was needed was a three dimension in vitro of a hair follicle, one that could be used to test new drugs on without hurting, or pointlessly adding, a hair on a single mouse. The team in Delhi worked alongside the ITC Life Sciences and TEchnology Centre in Bangalore to develop their solution.

A Way Forward

Using, among other things, silk proteins taken from silkworm cocoons they were able to develop a stable hydrogel system. It was the key to developing their 3D model, one that they have already used to successfully test one of the existing FDA approved hair loss drugs, minoxidil.

Sourabh Ghosh, an associate professor in Delhi, told the Indian publication, Hans India, “… we strongly feel that our hair follicle model is ready to be used by companies to test their products.”

HIS Hair Clinic

It may not immediately sound like it but this is a significant step forward. Offering, as it does, the promise for manufacturers of a vastly reduced cost for testing new variants on their drugs. If swiftly and widely adopted by the industry it should mean lots of drugs going into testing that might not otherwise have made it, it should also see animal trials saved for those drugs which have shown the most promise using the hair follicle model.

Our hearty congratulations to the teams in Delhi and Bangalore, we look forward to following your story. You can see the original Hans India article by clicking here.

2018 CureSearch Young Investigators to Deliver Next Generation of
Cancer Treatments

CureSearch is thrilled to announce the recipients of the 2018 Young Investigators grants for children’s cancer research. Dr. Loretta Li of the Dana-Farber/Boston Children’s Cancer and Blood Disorders Center and Dr. Avery Posey of The University of Pennsylvania are this year’s recipients who will use their extensive expertise to help deliver the next generation of cancer treatments to children who need them most.

The CureSearch Young Investigator Awards provide significant financial support to investigators early in their research career. Early-career investigators are the most vulnerable to federal funding shortages and they rely more than ever on the support of organizations like CureSearch in order to continue their research.

Dr. Li and her team will focus on acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B-Cell ALL) – her study will help develop compounds of the JAK2 inhibitor that are suitable for human study. A compound that is suitable for humans could help create a highly-effective drug for children with B-Cell ALL. In the first year, Dr. Li expects to identify two to three lead compounds for further drug development. She expects to initiate drug development work with the goal of translating her research into pediatric clinical trials.

“I am incredibly grateful to CureSearch for supporting my research and honored to be joining the CureSearch family of investigators. I really see this Young Investigator Award as an investment from CureSearch in my future,” said Li. “Funding from the CureSearch award will allow me to develop novel targeted therapeutics for children with high-risk leukemia.”

Dr. Posey is developing a novel CAR-T cell therapy – a type of treatment in which a patient’s T-cells are changed in the laboratory so they attack cancer cells. His goal is to translate this work to pediatric clinical trials within three to four years.

“New avenues of investigation will bring next-generation cancer treatments to children and potentially improve their quality of life,” said Posey. “With this grant, CureSearch is leading the path to developing cures for childhood cancers.”

The Young Investigator Awards come at a critical time when more than 15,000 children are diagnosed with cancer each year. In funding innovative research, our end goal remains the same – to end childhood cancer by driving targeted and innovative research with measurable results in an accelerated time frame. We hope you will follow along as our researchers embark on this critical journey to end children’s cancer.

Innovative Researcher Awarded CureSearch Catapult Award

Unknown Reply 19:33

$1 million grant will fund clinical trial for pediatric glioma patients

This month, CureSearch proudly announced our inaugural Catapult Award recipient – Dr. Ranjit Bindra of the Yale Cancer Center. The CureSearch Catapult Awards are designed to propel high-potential pediatric cancer treatments through clinical trials and to our young patients, helping them lead long, healthy lives. This nearly $1 million grant will fund a phase 1 clinical trial testing a novel treatment for pediatric glioma, an aggressive brain cancer with a 5-year survival rate of less than 25%.

With a goal to improve long-term survival rates and overall quality of life, this exciting new trial could create a shift in current treatment standards. Dr. Bindra’s study will test a novel drug for pediatric patients who have a specific subtype of glioma called an IDH1/2 mutation. The drug will make the cancer more sensitive to chemotherapy, allowing the patient to receive lower doses of chemo – which would ultimately reduce damaging long-term side effects that are common with pediatric glioma patients.

The study will help children like Camryn Saal, who was diagnosed with brain cancer at just 7-years-old. Camryn survived but at the time, she had only a 20 percent chance of survival – a percentage that Dr. Bindra hopes to significantly increase through his research. This grant will provide families like the Saals with the hope that their children too will survive this terrible disease.

“There was an 80% chance our daughter was not going to make it through her battle. No child should face those odds. This funding provides hope that we can prevent families from dealing with the struggles our family dealt with Camryn’s diagnosis,” said Andrew Saal, Camryn’s father.

Camryn

Dr. Bindra has an established history with CureSearch as a highly productive Young Investigator Award recipient from 2015-2017, and we’re thrilled to support him in this next stage of research, bringing his work one step closer to the child patients who need it most.

"I was fortunate to have been awarded a Young Investigator award, and eventually a Catapult Award. These awards let you build critical laboratory infrastructure and momentum, ultimately supporting work that directly translates into the clinic," said Dr. Bindra. "There are very few groups that support pediatric cancer research with the level of innovation, enthusiasm and passion that CureSearch does."

Dr. Bindra in a research labDr. Bindra will partner with the Pacific Pediatric Neurology Oncology Consortium to administer the clinical trial at 18 pediatric cancer centers in the U.S.

CureSearch would like to thank the Jacob Koenigs "Jakefest" Memorial Fund/Kiewit and Brains for Hope for their generous support toward this inaugural award.

CURESEARCH FOR CHILDREN’S CANCER ANNOUNCES YOUNG INVESTIGATOR AWARD RECIPIENTS

Young Investigator Recipients Granted $450,000 to Deliver the Next Generation of Cancer Treatments for Pediatric Cancer

BETHESDA, MD – July 17, 2018 – CureSearch is proud to announce the 2018 Young Investigator Award recipients, Dr. Loretta Li of the Dana-Farber/Boston Children’s Cancer and Blood Disorders Center and Dr. Avery Posey of Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. The CureSearch Young Investigator program combats the loss of promising scientists from the field by providing significant financial support to investigators early in their research career.

“In the last 20 years, only four cancer treatments have been developed and approved specifically for the children who need it most,” said Kay Koehler, CureSearch CEO. “Through the Young Investigator program, we fund the most promising early-stage research from the brightest minds in the field of pediatric cancer. Our goal is to establish a sustainable model for treatments from the outset of the research process.”

Li’s research will identify alternatives to a compound called CHZ868, which shows great promise in mouse models for B-Cell ALL. Currently this compound cannot be tested on humans; Li will develop alternatives for use in human clinical studies. She will test a panel of novel type II JAK2 inhibitors and secondly a panel of compounds that selectively degrade JAK2 within cancer cells (JAK2 degraders) in B-Cell ALL cells and animal models.

“With the genomic testing we have available to us today, we can now better understand the drivers or dependencies of a particular malignancy. We can use this knowledge to develop more targeted therapies against these alterations,” said Li. “CureSearch is leading the charge in taking the most promising novel therapies from the lab and helping to bring these to the bedside of our pediatric cancer patients.”

Are Grapes Good For Hair Loss?

Unknown Reply 07:43

The not so humble grape has found it's way into a hair loss product, but what are the merits of grapes for hair loss. We look closer.

Grapes Are Good For You!

Well, in many circumstances that is absolutely true, it has certainly been our friend for a very very long time. Grapes have the marvelous good fortune to have yeast grow naturally on their skin. It means that humans did not have to "discover" wine through any inspired process of trial and error, they simply had to wait for someone to drink the juice of over-ripe grapes and the rest, as they say, is history. The earliest records of grape cultivation, by which we mean a community where making wine was the principal activity, goes back to between 6000 and 8000 years ago in Georgia... no not that one, the one in Eastern Europe. The first winery is believed to be around 6000 years old and was discovered in Armenia. Grapes grow on woody vines that shed their leaves in winter. In the summer they produce huge quantities of berries... the grapes. They come in different colours and taste varies hugely, though sometimes subtly, according to the variety of grape, the soil, how they are cared for, how much sun and/or rain there is that season.

Grapes as Food

As part of a diet grapes are fairly benign, not to say healthy even. They contain only trace amounts of anything you might want to avoid and a serving can provide 5% of your daily potassium and Vitamin C intake. They are also credited with possessing high levels of antioxidants. Antioxidents are spoken of in hushed tones by some health food addicts, they believe that they protect against "free radicals," a by-product of breathing as the oxygen is  processed through our system. These free radicals are supposed to damage the DNA at the heart of every living cell and over time cause what we call ageing. The theory is unproven, and some recent research has significantly holed it below the waterline, but in the meantime grapes are offered as a good source. Of something that we have no real understanding of.

And So To Hair Loss

We imagine it took the proverbial New York minute between someone saying "... so if antioxidants slow the ageing process it could be argued they prevent hair loss" and somebody else saying "so we can put grape seed extract into a shampoo and market it for hair loss."

HIS Hair Clinic

We won't bother naming the brand and giving them free airtime, but be on the lookout for hair loss shampoo with grape seed extract, and let us know how you get on if you choose to use it. Though we have a sneaky suspicion we already know. Pediatric glioma, an aggressive type of brain cancer and the focus of Bindra’s research, has a very low 5-year survival rate of less than 25%. Bindra will test a novel drug in pediatric patients with a specific subtype of glioma that makes it sensitive to chemotherapy by inhibiting the PARP gene that is involved in repairing DNA mutations. PARP inhibitors make the cancer more sensitive to standard therapies, lowering the dosage needed and associated long-term toxicity when used in combination with chemotherapy. Bindra’s cutting-edge study can significantly improve long-term survival rates and reduce toxicity in pediatric glioma patients and lead to a potential shift in treatment standards.

“This award will help us build a translational center at Yale which will focus on the development of biomarkers specifically for pediatric cancer clinical trials. It will enable a quantum leap in the bench-to-bedside of some of the best science into the clinic for kids with brain tumors,” said Bindra.

Bindra will partner with the Pacific Pediatric Neurology Oncology Consortium to administer the clinical trial at 18 pediatric cancer centers in the U.S., enrolling 45 patients. The study is proposed to take 3 years to complete. Future studies will seek to lower the age of patients based on outcomes of this initial study.

The award was announced at CureSearch’s recent Catapult Summit, an event that convenes top leaders in research, academia, investment, business and healthcare to address the gaps the industry faces to discover better, less-toxic treatments for children’s cancer.

Jamaica’s New First Lady of Hair Loss

Unknown Reply 08:47

The remarkable Dr. Jennifer Mamby-Alexander is an award winning businesswoman who has just opened Jamaica's first hair loss clinic.

Dr Jennifer Mamby-Alexander

Dr Mamby-Alexander has definitely gone down the road less travelled. Since graduating from St Hugh's High School in the West Indies she has been carving out a career helping others to fight cancer, and so much more besides. Her career is all the more impressive when you discover that she received her own diagnosis 32 years ago... a stage 4 breast cancer. Since when she has used her experience to champion understanding and encourage others in their own battle with the disease. At a recent award ceremony, where she was collecting the 2018 Mavis Watts Award from the Business & Professional Women's Club (BPW) of St Andrew, her acceptance speech gave a tiny insight into her wholly admirable character.

Heartwarming

The story she shared in her speech told us something about her single-mindedness and a lot about just how impressive she can be in person. She had been invited to be a guest speaker at a function in Nigeria and decided to take with her 3 suitcases stuffed with copies of her book " A Practical Guide to Coping With Cancer" - which she intended to distribute free at the function. On arriving at the British Airways desk the rules around baggage weight allowance were explained to her as the reason why her bags could not be accepted onto the plane. She persisted by showing the BA representative her book and explaining why she had so many copies. "When I was finished explaining, they checked in the three bags and upgraded me to first class without charging me one cent extra."

Heading Into Hair Loss

With her wealth of commitments and a business to run, she founded and owns the only non-hospital based clinic in Jamaica where fine-needle aspiration biopsies are performed, she somehow found the time to add yet another string to her bow. She has trained as a trichologist and opened The Hair Loss Clinic of Jamaica.

Histogen Trial For Female Hair Loss Treatment

Unknown Reply 07:22

News from San Diego where Histogen, known for regenerative medicines, have announced a trial for their female hair loss treatment. We look closer.

Histogen

They describe themselves as a regenerative medicine company, taking and using human cells to produce products for the new "cosmeceutical" industry. Or, if you prefer the more medical description of their work: "... based on naturally-produced products from newborn fibroplasts grown in a proprietary bioreactor. Essentially, they grow cells under simulated embryonic conditions, Their Hair Stimulating Complex (HSC) is their lead product application, a soluble formulation as an injectable treatment for female hair loss... desperately needed of course given the severe lack of FDA approved treatments currently available to women.

HSC660

Approval has been given to the company to move to trial with their injectable HSC660 treatment. It will feature 27 subjects in a randomized, blinded, placebo-controlled study. Dr Butterwick, who will be managing the trial at Dermatology Cosmetic Laser Medical Associates, said "The potential of a simple, injected treatment that stimulates stem cells in the scalp to create new hair could be life changing. We are excited to kick off the first trial of this novel HSC660 treatment in women."

A Brief History of Success

The trial has been granted on the basis of some success shown in early studies. Previous versions of the treatment have been shown to induce some growth of new hair... between 15% and 19% according to the report we read. While that is statistically significant it is far from the "cure" that most of us imagine as the real thing. If you add 15% new hair to a Norwood scale 4 bald person they would still appear bald. We can only hope that the version that goes to trial improves again on those numbers.

HIS Hair Clinic

We will keep a close eye on their progress and hope for a positive report in due course. While this may not prove to be the exciting cure we are all waiting for it would seem to be another of those important steps forward in our understanding. Australia’s New Hair Loss Hero

Unknown Reply 06:37

Australia has a new hair loss hero, an under 30 influential figure who treats his hair loss with an enviable degree of not giving a damn.

Eric Jensen

Eric Jensen is editor-in-chief of the influential newspaper "The Saturday Paper," a popular and progressive Australian journal. As such he holds a significant position in the culture of the country and provides thought leadership on key issues of the day. We have to be honest, we had not heard of Eric until the Sydney Morning Herald ran an article about him. Their journalist, Matt Holden, ran a piece that focussed on Eric's hair stylings... or rather the complete absence of any kind of styling at all - despite the fact that he is clearly at stage 4, or thereabouts, on the Norwood scale of hair loss.

Magnificent Mane?

It was an appearance on a TV show that prompted Matt Holden to write his piece. Certainly Eric's hair, as seen in the picture, gives the clear impression of a man who has not touched anything above his eyebrows since getting out of bed before being interviewed on live television. Described, probably fairly, by wordsmith Holden as "a mesmerising witch's broom that stick out at the back and sides, flew away madly above, and appeared to be receding purposefully towards the to of his skull.

But Will It Catch On?

It seems unlikely Mr Jensen will encourage a wider acceptance of his look, never mind encourage others to follow in his footsteps. It is an extreme approach to hair care. That said, he will hopefully inspire some towards his "couldn't give a damn" approach. Matt Holden predicts success: "Chances are his lefty-fogey anti-hairstyle will soon escape the hip confines of the paper's Collingwood offices, progressing east through the leafy suburbs and west in the direction of Collins Street and it's hairless corporate HQ."

HIS Hair Clinic

We like Eric Jensen. Clearly a man way too focussed on life to be bothered in the slightest about what people might think of his hair. We really like Matt Holden, for bringing him to our attention and for his excellent article. You can read the original here. When Is A Head Tattoo A Bad Idea?

Unknown Reply 08:57

We write a great deal in praise of scalp micropigmentation, we sometimes forget that some make terrible decisions when it comes to their head.

A Reasonable Grievance?

William Laurence Stanley was sentenced by a judge to spend 12 years in federal prison back in Janary 2016. He had been found guilty of extorting money from a Dallas based business and ordered, as part of his sentence to repay $178,888 to each of his numerous victims.. the projected total of that repayment is expected to exceed $5.5M which gives some idea of the scale of his extortion and the number of his victims.

On The Run...

Last thursday, June 27th, William decided he had had enough of the State's hospitality and went on the run, escaping from Federal Correctional Institution in Seagoville. The Dallas Violent Crimes Task Force put out a public request for help in finding Stanley. It is not something they do for every escaped convict but Stanley was different for a couple of reasons, the primary reason being the nature of his crime. But the other outstanding reason for going public with their search was the optimism around the chance of a member of the public who, having seen Stanley, remembering where and when. It turns out Stanley has adorned his head with a couple of fairly memorable tattoos, the sort that would both attract your attention and stick in the mind. There is an inscription on the back of his head that reads "Congress shall make no law abridging the freedom of speech" - quoting from the first amendment. Now while a tattoo on the back of your head can be covered there is an altogether more challenging problem fro Stanley trying to cover his other tattoo. The dollar bill plastered across his forehead with the word "CENSORED" written large across it.

...But Not For Long

Predictably, the story carrying the police request for help was quickly followed up with an additional line explaining that Stanley had been recaptured in a place called Balch Springs, presumably a short distance from the Federal Correctional Facility in Seagrove from which he had so recently departed. No doubt they will be delighted to welcome him back.

HIS Hair Clinic

We assume the tattoos were part of his reaction to the jail sentence, from a man who clearly has issues around mid to long term planning. Definitely at the other end of the scale from the majority of our clients who usually arrive to us with a well developed and researched plan for their own treatment. If you would like to discuss your hair loss situation wtih one of our team of friendly experts simply click here to find your nearest clinic, or complete the contact form at the side of this page and we will get in touch.
