When he felt that his plan wasn’t working because of the level of hair loss, he opted for a hair transplant at the age of twenty six.

How does a hair transplant work?

The procedure is relatively simple, it begins with the donor area of the head being shaved and the new desired hairline being drawn with a marker pen. A needle full of anaesthetic is administered to the donor area, followed by the surgeon removing donor follicular units which are set aside for the second half of the procedure. Once the follicles are harvested, tiny incisions are made into the transplant area and the hair follicles are transplanted. The whole procedure is not very painful and patients are asked to spray the transplant area with saline solution several times a day until the area heals. Hair begins to grow within one to two months and full results are visible within a year.
